A word from the creator of the Linestrider tarot:
Change, transformation, renewal, destruction, new beginning, end, loss, liberation.
The death card indicates a time of transformation and transition. This card urges you to shed "dead weight", remove what is hindering your growth, and welcome the new spring of being. My illustration is quite a departure from classical depictions of death, but it retained the important element of growth and the balance between old and new, dark and light. I associate this card a lot with flora, pruning, even destroying crops in order to improve growing conditions and increase the harvest.
In a read, this card invites you to welcome the change in your life as a positive and transformative force. The death card is frequently misunderstood and feared. Yet it is a positive, almost heartwarming omen that invites us to open our arms to change, to let go of unhealthy attachments and to embrace a fuller life is satisfying. While these changes can be painful, they will actually be for the better.
Conversely, death indicates resistance to change. Perhaps you have become attached to things that prevent you from fully accessing happiness, health and success. Examine why you hold on to old ideas, grudges, or painful experiences. Review your relationships. Be honest and clearly identify what is holding you back. You have the opportunity to make a fresh start if you choose to host it. "
